My impression of the night on the debate
- McCain purposely avoided the word “Maverick” and used “reformer” instead. It’s still asinine. But give credit where it’s due, the old man can learn new tricks. Now if he can stop saying “my friends.”
- First McCain said “Priorities? All at once!!…”, then he said “My first prioriy is our troops, after the country…”. So my first priority after my first priority is all at once?
- Let’s be fair here, so McCain did refer Obama as “that one”. Is it racist? Is it rude? Is it condensending? Come on now. I’m no fan of McCain, but this is ridiculous. I’d rather talk about the Republican’s attack on “community service”.
- McCain proposed renegociate the troubled mortgages for the homeowners. I personally think it’s not TOO BAD an idea. I thought it was a sneaky and cynical way of buying votes. But apparently people are upset about it for the unfairness and lack of personal responsibility. Let’s see how the polls would reflect this new development.
